Cross Country
Tomorrow, Friday 10th June is Whakarongo School Cross Country. The weather is questionable, but please assume it is on, unless otherwise stated, direct from the School App, Website or staff.
What our Tautoko Pod/Year 3's children and parents need to know ...
- Official welcome begins at 12.30pm
- Year 3 boys race is approximately 1.40pm
- Year 3 girls race is approximately 1.50pm start
- Races are expected to conclude at approximately 2.50pm.
- Children will be sitting in House Groups and need to remain there, except for when they race.
- We will remain at the farm to cheer for, and support, the remaining competitors before returning to school just before 3pm.
* Please note:
The Atrium Building/Tautoko area, will be fully locked up for the duration of the event. This will be unlocked when everyone returns to school/just before 3pm, so children can retrieve the bags/equipment then.
Children need to have the following (for running and for staying warm)
- School uniform worn to school
- House t-shirt colours and running shorts
- Socks and running shoes (highly recommended)
- A warm jersey/top/warm clothes for putting on at the farm
- A water bottle (prior to the event)
- A good lunch (prior to the event)
Children will need to be responsible for their own gear, so EVERYTHING MUST be named.

Week 5 Value Certificates - Perseverance
Well done to Ruby Shepherd, Thomas Sidey and William Donaldson for always persevering with tasks in the Tautoko POD. You deserve the Value Certificates!!
Ipads in the Classroom
Thank you for supporting your child with their Ipad and requirements this year. However, there are still a number of children who aren't able to access the ideal/required applications in class for some tasks we are completing. (See information on http://wstautoko2016.blogspot.co.nz/p/ict-information.html ).
At this time, we are using the following applications, so please talk with your child, and check that they are installed on their Ipad:
- Explain Everything
- Quickvoice
- Book Creator
- Pic Collage
- Mathletics
We are also in the processes of working with documents in Google Drive, so please check that this is all up to date.
Any queries, feel free to talk to any of the Pod Teachers.
