ANZAC Day
ANZAC - MINI INQUIRY FOCUS & SCHOOL CEREMONY
During Week 11 of Term 1, we are having an inquiry focus on ANZAC day - which will occur during the school holidays. In Tautoko Pod, we have been looking at the ANZAC Parade, Ceremony and the Wreath, the Anzac Biscuit and Animals in War.
The children may be coming home and asking about relatives who were involved in the ANZAC war, or who were/are in the Armed Forces. If there is anything you would like to share, please feel free to email one of the Pod teachers this week.
The school will also be holding a ceremony on Friday 15th from 1.30pm - 2pm.
Navigation Centre Market Day
On Wednesday 13th April, the Navigator Centre will be holding a Market Day from 2pm - 4.30pm at school. They are inviting parents, family, friends and the wider community to come along.
The students have been investigating the ins and outs of commerce this term, and each group has formed a business and created a product or service to sell. There is lots to enjoy from cookies to car washes, 4 wheel driving to hairstyling, and much more - something for everyone.
Tautoko Pod will venture out around 2pm to see what the seniors have been doing. Please feel free to take your child/ren around after school. Products and services range from 50c up to a few dollars.
